NATHALIE HOLMER
A Gotland native and a hell of a storyteller. A lover of all things French, a federal bank math wiz, Kallis queen and a runner. She is fiercely competitive by nature and will never let you down in a music quiz - or on a Saturday night. Natta and Julia were brought together in Paris, became roommates— and the rest is history.
FREDRIK NIKOLAEV
A curious Stockholm native with a passion for grilling. A consulting guru who just became a girl dad. He's also a certified wedding officiant. He’s been getting into mischief with Daniel since their high school days in Sollentuna, and they shared Lund’s messiest apartment between 2014 and 2017.

JAN BROGREN
The wedding ceremony will be led by Julia's grandfather Janne.
An engineer, musician, and sailor, Janne can do it all. Funny and warm, he's an entertainer at parties and always has a good story to tell. For Julia and Daniel, he's a true inspiration and their first call when there is an electricity problem at home or in the boat.
WHAT IS A TOASTMASTER?
In true Swedish tradition, our wedding will be led by our toastmasters from the moment that the wedding ceremony is over until the party begins.
The role of the toastmaster at Swedish weddings has its roots in 18th-century England, where a toastmaster was responsible for leading the toasts and maintaining order during formal banquets and gentlemen’s club dinners. The concept spread across Europe during the 19th century and reached Sweden, where it was adopted by the upper and middle classes.
Over time, the Swedish toastmaster evolved into a unique blend of the British ceremonial master and the traditional Scandinavian “fest leader” - someone who not only coordinates speeches and timing, but also ensures warmth, humor, and a lively atmosphere throughout the evening.
By the mid-1900s, having a toastmaster became a well-established part of Swedish wedding culture. Today, the toastmaster acts as the couple’s representative, keeping the dinner organized and joyful so that the bride and groom can simply enjoy the celebration.
In short, the toastmaster is both master of ceremony and guardian of the mood. We could think of no friends better suited for this task than our fantastic friends Nathalie Holmer and Fredrik Nikolaev.
